Face forward

The best is yet to come.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

The iPad has been revived and he’s rediscovered a couple of apps that still work on it, even if the charge doesn’t last as long as he thinks it should. He was able to play a little bit of solitaire on his own and when he got stuck he asked for help. We found the cord for the laptop — it’s been charging overnight and hopefully, it will boot up this morning. Fingers crossed some of the apps still work – I doubt the OS can be updated as the computer is pretty old. He’s pretty excited about being able to use these tools again.

actively seek

Find and nurture one of your many “treasures” today.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

Very lucid sort of day. Discussions about finances, health care and more. Decision made to get a new pair of glasses. Nixed the idea of a new smartphone since he rarely uses one and mine or T’s is almost always handy. A near “race” around the cul-de-sac between man and dog. Dog won, and the man got his cardio in for the day and was happy.

one thing at a time

Instead of juggling it all, take it one thing at a time today.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

Some days you just have to take a step back and let things flow in a different direction. The routine may take a different turn — tomorrow, you might be able to readjust or need to make changes to accommodate new needs. Remember to BREATHE!

10.12.22

The little things that are going right in this moment, may become the BIG things in the days to come.  Take note and enjoy the little things today.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

Celebrate the little things that do go right throughout the day. He remembered an incident from a few days ago of something that happened and wanted to relive that. It was a fun moment for both of us and led into a series of other stories.
