Greatitudes

ready for the next step?

My Journey Notes:
Back to the old sleeping pattern – at least for the last couple of nights. NOT GOOD! I was really enjoying being able to sleep for a good portion of the night without being up at o’dark thirty and not being able to go back to sleep. A nap will definitely be on the day’s agenda since I’ve been awake since 2:15 this morning. UGH!

What did go well yesterday, however:
To-do List for week created and a couple of things already checked off.
Main computer backed up and some extraneous files thrown out.
New cable added to printer and successful print made without any errors or hangups between the computer or printer.
Creative project cut and partially assembled. It’s looking good.

today’s thoughts

My Journey Notes:
Still healing — but the scabs are starting to fall off. Seeing a bit more skin/scar in the incision area, but not quite ready to go out into public. It’s definitely looking much better than it has the last two weeks. Next week I go in for labs to make sure the hormone levels are where they should be. Results should be in and reviewed before my appointment the following week with the surgeon.

Accomplished a lot on my “list” yesterday and since I’ve been up since the wee hours this morning, I’ve knocked off a few things on today’s list as well. So back to it!

don’t overlook the little joys

My journey notes:
Venturing out today… the incision area is looking a little less scary this morning. So hopefully, I won’t scare the littles when we meet up for our Easter picnic/family dinner later this afternoon.

My lists are getting a little longer — but they’re paying off as items that need to be taken care of get done in a timely fashion and bills don’t go unpaid. I’ve been able to enjoy some creative time as well, but it’s looking like I need to beef up a couple of areas in that arena too — some tips and techniques are sliding from memory and they are things I use frequently, so it’s time for those to be organized and written down and additional samples made so I can do things as long as my eyes and hands and mind will let me.

I’m thrilled that a daughter-in-law has picked up shuttle tatting. I’m so excited for her and she’s doing well at it. She participates in a tatting group that meets monthly near her. I’ve picked up my shuttles a time or two in the last few months…. I think it’s time to do it again, but hang with it longer than a day or two. It can be very relaxing.
