My Journey Notes:
This week has been a little crazy trying to find an affordable med for the migraines — let’s just say we still haven’t found one that doesn’t wipe out the budget and that isn’t a triptan based med which I have developed a sensitivity to. Calling the dr’s office again this morning asking him to pull the prescription for the last prescribed med (over a $1000 a month for 8 pills with insurance) and go with what I’ve been doing the last 5 months.
The countdown for next month’s surgery is on. Just under two weeks now.

My Journey Notes:
I did like meeting my new PCP yesterday. He was nice and had reviewed my chart and read the previous notes; made a few more during the appointment. We had a good visit before getting down to the brass tacks of why I was there.
Funny thing they’re in the same space that our previous dr was and the new dr has the same nurse. They’ve updated the rooms a little bit, but according to the nurse, no new clinic in the works at this time. I really hope they don’t move even though building is a little dated — it’s within walking distance (20 minutes) from the house and I like that it’s so close by car as well.
Ocular migraines suck! My eyes are still a little “off” this morning. Let’s hope this thing subsides quickly.

My journey notes:
So glad I went to R’s funeral yesterday and grateful to find a few other friends attending as well. She was an exceptional woman and has a wonderful family. It was a long day for me and I was hurting a lot by the time I got home — Tylenol and some deep blue to the rescue. I’m still a little sore this morning and have a long list of to-do’s – so best to keep moving and get those kinks out.

My journey notes:
Today, I’m attending the funeral of a sweet friend. She never passed by without stopping for a hug and sharing a kind thought. Her smile was contagious and rippled through the space whenever she entered. She was always upbeat even on her less than best days. She far surpassed her “extension date” offered by the dr. So grateful to have known her and our family wishes her family peace in her passing.
