What will be your “discovery” of the day?

Choices do exist…
keep going…
thank you….
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Angels are everywhere. Whether it’s a call, a note or a passing smile, there seems to be the promise of something good in the works every day. The smile upon waking. A thank you after a meal or a hearty laugh when things are looking a little iffy or troublesome. We appreciate everyone for helping in any way they can or have or will in the future.
We’ve been blessed having gone down this road previously with Mom. And as always, each day is a new adventure. No two days are exactly alike. From sunup to sundown, each day has its own life. The ups and downs aren’t always the same or motivated by the same experiences in our new daily routine. We’re grateful to have Dad with us and learn more about this thing called life and say “thank you” for the opportunity to be his angels at this time.

Best day yet
Keep going because YOU CAN DO IT!
Not sure if this is meant for Dad or for us as caregivers, but the last 24 hours are keepers! No sundowning yesterday or sleep issues last night. He wanted to take 2 walks outside, which did happen — and from the discussion we had while he tooled along, he’s anxious to prove he can get rid of the walker sooner rather than later. The walker will always be his friend from this point forward, but I’m glad he’s thinking of something positive to look forward to rather than some other things he has referred to previously.
He enjoyed the Boost drink his doctor ordered yesterday, so hopefully, he’ll continue to drink at least one or two a day for the next while in hopes of helping to put a few extra pounds on. He does love his chocolate bars. I’m guessing we need to make another trip to the store to pick up a few to keep on hand.
Here’s to another good day.
