Find the amazing in today!

CAREGIVER NOTE:

Laugh! It helps make everything better. It was fun to watch the chuckles as he reviewed what had just transpired. The smile was big… no anger at the mistake or mess-up. Decided eating another meal would fix it all up and he’d be good to go back to bed for the remainder of the night.

CAREGIVER NOTE:
It’s Father’s Day. How we miss those that have passed on, but are grateful we have more time with T’s dad. He has been and is a blessing. He has been a good dad. He still teaches us a lot and has much wisdom to share.

He has decided he likes the clean shaven look — so it was back to the barber yesterday for a shave and a haircut (he didn’t need that, but opted to go a little closer anyway). So I guess he’ll be making regular visits to the barber. He broke the electric shaver we got for him at Christmas, and he can’t see well enough to do it himself. He doesn’t want me or T to help him either — I guess the female barber is much better looking than we are.

as always….

Help someone find the “light” in their day.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

A lot of anxiety throughout the day and it lasted well into the evening. It wasn’t sundowning, but worry over some other things that were out of his control. We took a couple of walks and spent some time outside watching the garden “grow.” While the fresh air helped a little, he was still pretty anxious about a few things at bedtime. Hoping for a better day today as we review the plans for the day after he has breakfast.

make it a

better than best sort of day.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

The shuffle is becoming a little more obvious and he’s holding on to the furniture and wall as he walks to the bedroom now. His gait is much slower as well. His balance is a little more off, but he’s refusing to use the walker in the house, though he will accept using his “friend” when he goes to doctor’s appointments or on other excursions.
