3 Positives:
Work in the studio was rewarding… and I think I like making paper yarn.
All first of the month bills can now be marked as “paid in full!”
Laundry done – including the folding and putting away 😉

your awesomeness becomes you!

3 Positives:
Chores for the day – done early
Desk in studio cleaned up
While not completely successful, I did get a good 6 inches of paper yarn spun… fun process and I hope to get better at it. Good way to use up some of these paper scraps once the paper ply is separated.
My Journey Notes:
Insomnia cycle is back in play. 3 nights in a row and up again before the crack of dawn because snoozing ain’t happening. I fear I’ll be dragging by 9am with only 3 hours of sleep. The “new” suggested routine isn’t working… or it’s that full moon! 😉 Dog was up as well last night, so that didn’t help me get an uninterrupted sleep… but she needed to take a trip outside. Thankfully, no critters in the yard for her to chase or bark at, so it was a quick out and back in. Making a more detailed list for today – being this tired doesn’t help me remember things.
be. you.

3 Positives:
Success in a current 3D paper project and a simple hand cut leaf idea provided the answer need for a project finish. I’m also going to try to learn to spin!
First tomatoes of the season from the garden – BLTs for dinner
Yummy pico de gallo made with peppers and more tomatoes from the garden.
Have at it.
always good to remember
3 Positives:
The migraine med worked as hoped
Appreciating the little things that are going right
laugh at the mistakes (there were lots of them yesterday) in the craft room
My Journey Notes:
Goal for today is to check off a few things on the chore list before sitting down and getting really involved in a paper project a little later this morning. Video chat collaboration that hopefully, will get a few questions answered (“glimmers”) and a new project idea underway. Simple dinner on the menu tonight, so I can hopefully cross off at least one or two components of this projects.
Make the most of every moment.Â
3 Positives:
Errand day — though specific things we were looking for were unavailable, we still enjoyed the time out
Sleeping much better after some news
Another large handful of berries from the bushes yesterday
My Journey Notes:
Crossing off the first of the month bills. It’s nice to see that list being checked off on each confirmation page. Creative time is important and I got stuck in that darn software and couldn’t get it to work again. Going to have to try to complete a process later today. LOL I’d really like to get those steps stuck in my brain so I can get a few more things done for the upcoming holidays without having to constantly ask for help or for file creation. I do have an appointment with a friend for help with a design element on Monday morning. She’s so sweet and willing to collaborate on ideas with me. It’s also fun and I get a face to face visit via a video chat.
I’m grateful that I still have a list of ideas in a couple of books and in the cloud and some drawings that I can work with. Hoping I’ll be able to bring most of them to life before my brain and hands say no more.
see the beauty
Halloween 2025
I got started early this year. The inspiration for this make came from the Summer 2025 edition of Country Sampler. Finding globes at the thrift store or yard sales around here is difficult to say the least — so remembering that I already had a globe file from a few years ago, decided to try to recreate the project, adding my own twist, using paper. I think it turned out quite nicely! And, yes, the globe can turn if you don't glue the hat to the top of the globe.
Files I used to create this:
