3 Summer Tags for 2025 – Tag 3
It's the final day of this year's reveal. I've been impressed with all the tags that have been shared on our Facebook page for this challenge. Looking forward to seeing today's grouping!
Lemonade and some variations of lemonade are my favorite drink of the season. I decided to create something that reflected that for my last tag this year. The mason jar file is from SVGCuts. I've had it for ages and I'm really happy with how this one cuts and is so adaptable.
I think it's fun when you can use your stash to create something fun and playful. I did use pattern fill for the straw (a simple narrow rectangle) and cut a second mason jar shape which was altered to add a layer of lemonade to the original base shape. The cap is a scrap of some patterned paper that I've added some yellow ink to to have the background not be quite so stark. The ice cubes are cut from vellum and I've added some lemon slices made of polymer clay to the bottom of the jar with a heavy body glue. I'd originally planned on doing a shaker, but decided against that after the fuse tool wasn't doing a clean shape for me this go round. I'll try again in the future to use the fuse tool as it's worked with previous projects with no problem. I added a hanger of cotton twine to the back of the tag and there's sufficient space for some personalization on the back .

3 Summer tags for 2025 – Tag 2
Tag 2 for this challenge has a bit of a patriotic theme. I used a popsicle shape from a grouping I found on Creative Fabrica. I've used it previously – last July on my ministering cards. Resized to a larger size and each of the pieces was cut from white cardstock.
I added color using inks from my stash and a blender tool with some painter's tape to block the center area to leave it white. I added some white paint dots to the blue area and swiped the red and blue areas with some nuvo drops to add a little sheen, though it doesn't really come through. I inked around the edges using the blending tool. The popsicle stick is swiped with the inkpad to add a little texture and depth as if it was made of wood. The star is a shape from the SCAL library and is a stack of three shapes to create a little depth. I like how it turned out. I added a button with a little twine to the front of the star and some cotton twine as a hanger is attached to the back of the tag.
make the most of each ‘today!

My Journey Notes:
If it’s not on the list…. yep, it won’t get done! Things have to be on the list, calendar, somewhere visual – if it’s not, well, it’s unfinished history. We were running through the important dates for August yesterday and there’s evidently a birthday I’d forgotten about. So now that’s back on the calendar in my studio so I’ve got a visual reminder. I have a list of cards to get done in the next few days so they’re ready for delivery and mailing – today’s a good day to work on them, I think.
