3 Positives:
Made a little more progress on the big project
Things are ready for today’s family gathering and father’s day gifting
Spent some time outside just before dusk and enjoyed the “cooling down” period – watching the dragonflies
My Journey Notes:
3 positives for Saturday:
Learned something new (to me) on the PC since I’ve not used one as my primary computer for a long, long, time. I do miss my MAC.
Spent a couple of hours with a friend helping her finish setting up her new computer – it’s got lots of bells and whistles. I asked about a printer — but she’s not quite ready for that. LOL
Finished reading the last 75 pages of a book – Garden of Memories. I liked it.
My Journey Notes:
it’s been a rough week… a couple of really bad days and the migraines are back with a vengeance. I also feel like I’m going through a second menopause — UGH!
Memory and lists, lots of lists — a list for every day is getting me through, most of the time. Still putting off a few things — more because I just don’t want to do them than forgetting. Those things get added on at the top of the next day’s list with a call to get them done. Today’s catch-up day. There are 3 things on the list I really need to take care of today. So we’ll see if I can get them checked off before noon…. including clearing my desk to I can do a little paper art this weekend. 😉
Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow for those of you that celebrate. I’m sure missing mine! I’m so grateful I have a recording of her voice to listen to when the moments seem overwhelming… just hearing it helps.
3 positive things:
I finished several projects over the course of the week despite the migraines
Updated my sample book
I watched the moonrise last evening from the deck.
My journey notes:
Venturing out today… the incision area is looking a little less scary this morning. So hopefully, I won’t scare the littles when we meet up for our Easter picnic/family dinner later this afternoon.
My lists are getting a little longer — but they’re paying off as items that need to be taken care of get done in a timely fashion and bills don’t go unpaid. I’ve been able to enjoy some creative time as well, but it’s looking like I need to beef up a couple of areas in that arena too — some tips and techniques are sliding from memory and they are things I use frequently, so it’s time for those to be organized and written down and additional samples made so I can do things as long as my eyes and hands and mind will let me.
I’m thrilled that a daughter-in-law has picked up shuttle tatting. I’m so excited for her and she’s doing well at it. She participates in a tatting group that meets monthly near her. I’ve picked up my shuttles a time or two in the last few months…. I think it’s time to do it again, but hang with it longer than a day or two. It can be very relaxing.
