CAREGIVER NOTE:
The shadows were alive last night …. He was seeing things and swore up and down there was something in his room. He couldn’t hear it, but he saw it. He wasn’t really afraid, but didn’t want to sleep if there was something else in his room. A thorough sweep with an extra light seemed to help — and he was able to go back to sleep…
He’s wanting to find some chocolate drops for Uncle Pert. We’re taking him out this evening to try to find some of the candy he remembers so fondly. We’ll see how that goes — I’m sure he’ll be eating them in remembrance of his favorite uncle on Christmas day.
TuesdayMotivation
at the end of the day, find peace in your heart
Wishing you ….
Find some “good” in your day today.
Live It!
Opportunities await!
CAREGIVER NOTE:
Smiles were in abundance late last evening when son #2 arrived for a week long visit. Dad had been very anxious all day long waiting not so patiently for things to fall into place. Traveling across country is a little more complicated it seems now than it had been previously and it’s a whole day of travel for those coming here to visit.
Once they walked through the door, you could see the tension dissipate and relief take its place. And a good night’s sleep was had by all.
Hope. It’s closer than you think
Take one more step.
Count your blessings….
Name them one by one.
CAREGIVER NOTE:
Yesterday was difficult. The vivid dream was very real to him. We had to go outside in the dark to ensure that all was safe and no one was in danger. It took several hours for him to put the pieces to together and he was scared that he was really losing it. He’s realizing that things aren’t working as they should and he can’t process things as he thinks he should be able to do. It’s SCARY – both for him and for us.
