No meds necessary…

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you will help them become what they are capable of becoming.”  Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

The greatness that is in all of us is just begging to be released.  This is R.A.K week.  Random Acts of Kindness week.  What better way to share and treat others in the ways we know their GREATNESS is to be valued and treasured.  When we treat someone to a random act of kindness, are we not helping them to see their inner wealth?  Are we not showing them who they really are?  In that one instance, I want what I do to say with quiet fearlessness — “See your worth, and step into your GreatnessYOU ARE!

There’s a side benefit to all of this that someone may have forgotten to tell you:  You are not only helping them fill their bucket of greatness, but you’re filling your own at the same time.  It’s a win-win situation for all.  Feel good today and every-day!  Get a natural high!

Your reflection…

People liked him, not because
He was rich or known to fame;
He had never won applause
As a star in any game.
His  was not a brilliant style;
His was not a forceful way.
But he had a gentle smile
And a kindly word to say.
Edgar A. Guest

What will the reflections of your words or face bring today?  Are you the “mirror” you want to reflect?

Your inner coach…

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns… or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses….”  — Abraham Lincoln

The Nurtured Heart Approach™ teaches us to look at what is going right – more than what is just on the surface in the moment. How implicitly simple this is. Yet, how challenging it can be at times.  These are the moments when the “inner coach” needs to jump off the bench and shout “see the roses!”

There’s always something going right – however, maybe in the past, we’ve possibly overlooked it — only seeing what was going wrong.  Now, with our use of the Nurtured Heart Approach™, we learn much more readily to see those things we used to overlook, because NOW we’re seeing GREATNESS with our new eyes and new perspective — our Inner Coach, our heart, can’t help but point out the beauty, love, joy, thoughtfulness, integrity, fearlessness, etc. seen in this very moment!  Join me today — See the beauty – Rejoice!  Let your inner coach find it’s voice  and jump off the bench today and see the GREATNESS that IS!

Joy

” Let your light shine!  Deliberately choose to look for joy in every step of your journey through life and to share it with others.”   Barbara Johnson

This practice begins with literally accusing ourselves of goodness any time we see even a glimmer of a quality we wish to uphold.  Then we can feed those qualities with our energy and recognition, sharing it with others. (You Are Oprah, p 45). Isn’t this what the Nurtured Heart Approach™ is all about?  Choices?  Greatness? Kindness? Patience? Joy?

It’s all there.  Have a greatness filled day.

Jan

It’s all about energy

“Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”   (attributed to Albert Einstein)

Set your intention and energy in a positive direction and see where it leads… don’t be surprised to find lots of great things come your way today.  Begin with a simple smile — share it.  Go further, share a sincere compliment with someone, even a stranger – just go for it. THEN…. Do a happy dance. For real!  You’ll be surprised at how good you’ll feel releasing the energy and turning it on!  Just do it!  Whether it’s 5 minutes, 30 or 60 minutes long, a happy dance will bring you true JOY!  Thinking happy thoughts for those few minutes today can’t help but set the tone for the rest of the day and your intentions will bring about more GREATNESS and even gratitude and Greatitudes as you ponder the things you’ve thought about throughout your happy dance.

Thanks, Jamie for the quote this morning!  I’m off to begin my Happy Dance!  How about  you?

silver or gold?

“Too many people miss the silver lining because they’re expecting gold.”  Maurice Setter

Too often our expectations are that we’ll reach our goal of transformation overnight not realizing that we may have years of negativity to undo. The Nurtured Heart Approach™ challenges us to re-frame the concept of happiness.  Many people today have become “happiness junkies”, seeing happiness as a string of gifts, parties, exciting trips, acquisition of THINGS.  Is this ever self defeating!  Be patient with yourself, as you might be with others.  Treat yourself with care and tenderness.  Rather, true happiness is defined as enduring contentment…..  a feeling that puts all life experiences in perspective.  RESET, look for the silver lining, and you will find it. It may take a while to discern what “happiness” means.  As you grow, and you find your enduring intention within. Your Greatness will grow and prosper.  Therein lies the gold. Peg and Jan

Contagious

“Generosity has a ripple effect – it’s contagious.” Summersan Lark

Have you ever imagined how your smile, your RAKs (random acts of kindness) or the one day you choose to Pay It Forward might impact a complete stranger halfway around the world? With today’s social media and a click of the mouse or a few taps on your cell phone, your impact is immediate and felt within seconds. Whether you are the grantor or the recipient, you have spread the greatness just a little bit further and lo and behold it continues to ripple out in glorious waves of greatness. Share your GREATNESS ENERGY today in ways you never imagined possible! Let the ripples go forward!

“You can find on the outside only what you possess on the inside.”  Adolfo Montiel Ballesteros

It is our hope that the more you use the Nurtured Heart Approach, you will begin to feel a whole new way of thinking and looking at yourself AND the world.  You begin to transform from the inside out, and this process will bring such strength to your resolution and being.  We often find it easy to point out the positive things we admire in others, yet often find it difficult to own them ourselves.  They are yours – take ownership.  To recognize them, you must already possess them.  Honor them; they  bless your life,  and those around you.
