Ahh, yes.

My Journey Notes:
Getting “lost” in thoughts for extended periods of time during the day. Not remembering what happened really — just losing lots of time. Yesterday was a not so good day.

3 Positives:
The AC is keeping up with the heat
Trying to learn how to use a new app – and not crashing things
Seeing the joy in a grandson’s face in a pic from his afternoon activity.

come, learn, experience

3 Positives:
A doctor that listens.
I learned another “new to me” thing yesterday using some software I’m not really familiar with.
I am able to help a friend with a project – last night it was paper and today it’s clay. Hopefully, she’ll feel better this evening and will be able to put the elements together and complete her 12 fairy gardens.

My Journey Notes:
Ever had a day where you were just unsure of next steps? Yep, and yesterday was one of those. Thankfully, most of the problems were resolved without too much difficulty, but dang, that was kind of crazy.
Having to switch from MAC to WIN after nearly 15 years, as my MAC is dying and can’t be upgraded. At least the printer is communicating with the WIN laptop now and I was able to scan a document that I will need to print and hopefully, things will continue to work as hoped for in the next few days as I need to get started on my ministering and father’s day cards by this weekend in order to have everything done and in time to mail out before the end of the month.

3 positives for the day:
Checked off several boxes on my to-do list for the day
Went to a favorite specialty food store and picked up a few things for some upcoming meals
Picked the final design for ministering cards for June.

My Journey Notes:
Official release from the surgeon yesterday. They declined to do the follow up monitoring (as indicated in my initial appointment with them) and told me to go back to my primary dr for monitoring. That was the only unanticipated outcome. He brought an entourage with him (two interns and his tech); went over the pathology report and was happy with his handiwork — the scar will hardly be visible once it’s finished healing. It will actually be thinner than the previous scar.

Med ordered and picked up after a slight delay at the pharmacy, but only another 30 day fill — and I’m sure that another visit to the lab for more blood work in a month is on tap to make sure levels are good and get another 30 day refill. So back to the doctor in a couple of weeks to establish that monthly routine with his office.

Brain fog and lack of focus have been pretty much the center of attention the last few days. I’m sure lack of sleep is a BIG contributor at this point. I’d sure like to get a full night’s sleep without the every two hour wake up and/or the unable to go back to sleep elements of my night.

3 good things from yesterday:
Spent some time with my oldest daughter
Finished up 20 “thank you” cards and bagged cookies for delivery as promised
All post surgery restrictions have been lifted
