CAREGIVER NOTE:

“Too cold to be out and about,” he says — but he was more than happy that he made some progress on a computer game. He said it’s coming back to him. So letting him spend some time at the computer has been beneficial. We do need to find another chair, though. Not enough padding in the current one to prevent some discomfort after an extended period of time sitting. I’m also going to look into another keyboard for the visually impaired. He’s having a difficult time reading his current keyboard.

and… Never let hope fade from view.  

Pause, breathe, listen…and don’t forget to give thanks for the peace you find in the moment.

CAREGIVER NOTE:

Best news of the day….. NO CANCER! The swelling and tenderness in his breasts isn’t uncommon for men his age. We now have to figure out if it’s meds, diet or hormonal. The radiologist thinks it’s the latter to age since Dad has been on the one medication for a relatively long time. But we’ll have another visit with his PCP via phone to see what she thinks are next steps. Dad’s steps were definitely a bit lighter yesterday after hearing the news!

REMEMBER:  You are good enough.

Every day we have a choice. RISE AND SHINE or RISE AND WHINE. Choose to shine today! Replace “Have to” with “Get to.” Look for the good. Seize the opportunities. Feed the positive. Weed the negative. Encourage yourself and encourage others! Jon Gordon
