fresh starts

3 Positives:
sleep is good
Anti-biotic cocktail is working
letting other’s serve

My Journey notes:
it’s been a long couple of weeks – T brought it home, spent a night in the hospital with stage 1 pneumonia with some other concerns tagged on. That was the 30th. I was full on in pneumonia by Tuesday, and did drag myself to insta-care that morning. A full morning there with the nebulizer, oxygen, on-boarding some antibiotics, X-rays and bloodwork that was pretty crazy. 4 new prescriptions! Repeat of the process on Wednesday. No drop in O2 levels overnight, so we didn’t have to go in yesterday and no visit to ER or admission to the hospital. Last evening was the first night in several that I’ve been able to get more than an hour of uninterrupted sleep. I’ll take it.

One gift I did get was that the NP handling my case at the insta-care, made the comment several times that I was alert and very aware of the situation and my thoughts concerning care were well thought out and could be used as long as some other precautions were put in place and it was decided that would be used as the treatment plan for the following 24 hours and even the tele-health dr was impressed. YIPEE!

3 Positives:
rest
A did all the cooking for a pared down Thanksgiving dinner
more rest

My Journey Notes:
It’s all about adapting at the moment. T’s low vision status and surgeries on temporary hold, make sure he gets his meds as he’s supposed to. My energy levels at this point are still pretty low and I have a few things I need to get done… Sadly, cards will be late for December and that vinyl I need to cut has to be done today. Hoping to accomplish that and get it checked off the list next.

attitude is everything

3 Positives:
no trips to the dr for T on the calendar for next week!
finished part 10 of the 12 part project
I got more than 2 hours of sleep last night

My Journey Notes:
I’ve lost something. Last night’s search was a bust and hopefully, I’ll find it this morning. I really need to find it. I last saw it in the drawer — but it’s not there now. I’ve searched the drawer several times, as well as the surrounding cupboards and drawers, and more. I really need to find it — 2 more ideas of where to search have come to mind, so hopefully, as soon as the rest of the household is up and moving, I can check those places out.

3 Positives:
rest
work
a little fun

My Journey Notes:
I had my first SVT episode in a long time. Luckily, I was able to get it to stop without having to go to the ER for treatment. I haven’t had a breakthrough episode like that in several years and no idea what might have triggered it other than lack of sleep. And if that’s the case, I’ve got to figure out how to not have insomnia! 😉 The one good thing coming out of it, was that I was able to rest for a couple of hours once the heart rhythm had reset. Feeling fine this morning — so hopefully, we’ll be able to get things back on track today.

it’s never a bad day when you…

3 Positives:
20 cards completed (ministering cards for November)
3rd paper project completed, pictures taken
time outside

My Journey Notes:
missed last nights meds… oops! Need to make sure I take them this evening for sure. Didn’t keep to the “list” yesterday – kind of went somewhere else and never got back to it. Will definitely need to stay on task today to get things done. Hoping things go smoothly.

After several attempts yesterday to find a short video in my files (on the cloud), I turned to a backup document and found a link and it worked! So grateful for that and now I know I have another way to find a few missing files and images. YAY!

10.17.25

3 Positives:
self-care
gentle rains
old movies

My Journey Notes:
Holding steady at the moment. Lists are still my major go-to to check off chores, bill paying and a few other things. Grateful they are still helpful. The morning routine adjustments are working as well overall, though there are some days it is more difficult at times. Still not sure if the current dosage of thyroid hormone is right — or if the change in the weather is triggering the current bout of problems with cold, heat and hot flashes and that dang insomnia is back in full swing again. Bloodwork scheduled for the last week of the month… perfect timing with Halloween!
I’ve been working on some old online classes — there’s one class that’s pretty challenging, but I think I’m getting a hang of the software (finally). I’ve decided to incorporate some of the features and outcomes into some projects in the studio — and the last one worked fairly well, though pretty simple. A couple more are sitting in the queue with hopes of being able to export and print in the next day or so. It’s time to get a start on next month’s ministering cards.
